Gong Bath for Relaxation
April 1 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm
£20
In this session Eirene will be playing the Wind and Sun Chinese gongs in a sequence meant to bring you to a state of complete relaxation.
The beautiful, complex sounds of the instruments will fill the space with healing relaxing high frequency vibrations.
The method used was taught by the British Academy of Sound Therapy and is a very powerful and profound method which can enable you to enter an altered state of consciousness (ASC) for the duration of the entire session or for short periods of time during the session. Entering these states is extremely nourishing for your whole system and these are the states where the body is given the opportunity to heal itself the most.
When in ASC, the individual may experience feeling everything as one: the thinker and the thought momentarily merge. During these sometimes fleeting moments, peak experiences, flow or self- actualisation can occur and individuals can also experience bliss. You may feel freedom from the normal ‘human’ limitations of self and as though you are connected to everything, or at least something much bigger than the self. You may merge with the environment and past present and future may also merge into one present moment. In this state any conflicts and contradictions can dissolve.
During these sessions, participants can also feel as though they are connected to something sacred, profound and/or holy. They may feel waves of energy coursing through their bodies, feel extreme pleasure, or even bliss. Feelings of deep peace and tranquillity, tenderness, love or joy may be experienced. In this state emotional pain such as anxiety, grief, anger, jealously, fear can disappear.
Individuals may also have meaningful thoughts throughout the session that will help them gain meaningful insight or knowledge into who they truly are or how to better their lives.
The body of the session will start with a short meditation channelled on the day that will set the intention for the entire gong bath and will end with the play of a percussion sequence meant to bring you back from the state induced by the beautiful healing sounds of the gongs, into the present moment and back to the space. We will also have tea and a sharing “circle” at the end to help with grounding you before you are ready to leave.
If you feel drawn to the beautiful healing sounds of the gongs, or you feel you resonate with any aspects of our event we are looking forward to welcoming you to our space.

If you have any concerns regarding your health and wellbeing you are advised to see your GP or health consultant.
Most therapeutic techniques we use can result in intense physical and emotional release.
